The school will be the second primary school that Hemsö builds in Staffanstorp and the fourth project in the municipality. In 2016, Uppåkraskolan was completed and in 2019 a preschool and an elderly residence were ready in the municipality. The new elementary school will have a lettable area of 6,100 square meters and the preschool an area of 1,650 square meters.
The compulsory school comprises year F-9 for 600 pupils and the associated preschool with 10 departments for a total of 200 children.

The primary school is located in the growing residential area of Vikhem in Staffanstorp. In the same area, Hemsö recently completed the Villa Vikhem retirement home with Vardaga as tenant.
– The International English School provides another opportunity for our local residents to choose a school. That is why I welcome IES to the municipality as a partner for the future of our children, says Christian Sonesson (M), chairman of the municipal council in Staffanstorp’s municipality.
Construction is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2020 and the school is scheduled to be ready for the autumn term of 2022.
The property is environmentally certified in accordance with Miljöbyggnad Silver with the objective of Gold for energy use.
